Dr. Heather Seay, DACM, LAc, FABORM, is a respected doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine and a fellow of the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine specializing in fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and comprehensive reproductive health. In addition to her clinical expertise is an engaged researcher and dedicated educator and knowledge seeker. She consistently hones her skills in integrative reproductive medicine through taking continuing education courses every year. She is currently receiving mentorship from Laura Erlich and Randine Lewis.

Please note: Dr Seay requires cancellations within two business days. Cancellations outside of two business days will be subject to a $50 fee. The cancellation fee will be waived if you can reschedule within that same workweek. This will depend on openings in her schedule.

Dr. Seay uses the skills and tools she has collected since 1998 in her sessions which have a foundation in Chinese medicine, functional medicine, shiatsu, lymphatic bodywork, Chinese herbal medicine, ayurvedic bodywork, reflexology, nutrition and supplementation, and integrative fertility coaching.

Professional Bio

I’m Dr. Heather Seay, a women’s health Chinese medicine doctor practicing acupuncture for 16 years in Salt Lake City. I specialize in supporting women through life’s transitions, helping them feel confident, safe, and nurtured.

Born in California and raised in Utah, I immersed myself in holistic and natural medicine in 1998. My work is featured in Circle and Bloom, and I’ve been interviewed on the PCOS Diva podcast. In 2017, I became a Fellow for the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM), the first acupuncturist in Utah to earn this distinction.

I hold a Master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University and a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) from Pacific College of Health and Human Sciences. I am a Diplomate of NCCAOM and an ABORM fellow.

At Awaken and Bloom, we offer holistic health services, including Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, and fertility coaching, for women navigating transitions such as puberty, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause. Our patient-centric approach prioritizes accessibility, communication, and warmth, providing a nurturing and healing space.

My journey into Traditional Chinese Medicine began during my first pregnancy in Ventura, California. The comprehensive care I received inspired me to support women through preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum. Over the years, I’ve helped many women and couples achieve their dream of parenthood, even when facing advanced maternal age or challenging diagnoses.
